After much anticipation, our girls are finally here. On July 2nd my doctors decided to do a c section because one of the girls had not grown in 2 weeks. So they ran out of room in there and an amnio was done to determine that the lungs were ready. The OR was packed, there was a team ready for each baby. Dr. Fu and Dr. White delivered Ava Corrine at 5:39 pm, Jocelyn Reese at 5:40 pm and Sophie Isabel at 5:41 pm. Ava was 4 lbs 10 oz, Jocelyn 4 lbs 3 oz, and Sophie 3 lbs 13 oz. They all started crying and breathing on their own immediately, which is great for babies that were born at 34 weeks and 1day gestation. It was truly an amazing experience and I was so happy that I got a chance to hold each one before they were taken to the NICU for evaluation. Jeremy was an amazing partner throughout this whole experience and I could not have made it throught 3 1/2 months of bedrest without him. I was discharged from the hospital on July 4th, truly my Independance Day after being there for over 6 weeks. Above are some photos of our newest additions. Top is Sophie, middle mom feeding Ava, bottom is Jocelyn, and all three in their crib.
